We move people away from screens and back into challenging, real-life activities. Read more...
DoCurious is looking for people to do what many people say is impossible: get people away from their screens.  But we're not asking anyone to give up their screens entirely - we just want to borrow them for a while.  If we do our job right, when they get back to social media most of their posts will be about what a great experience they had with us and our business partners.  Our users are called "Doers".  Our mission is to engage people who have never done anything challenging in the "real world" before, and those who have.  Our ultimate goal is to increase happiness, autonomy, competence, and relatedness in everyone we touch.  Check out our website at www.docurious.com for details.

We're looking for a great Challenge Creation and Review Specialist to join our team.  This position is key to helping us get off and into the marketplace on the right foot.  You should be creative, fun-loving, and critical all at once.  The role involves three major responsibilities

First, you should be able to search your brain, the web, and the world for great challenges that can be brought to our platform, both with and without the assistance of outside entities.  This means knowing the characteristics of a good challenge inside and out, being able to readily convert real-life activities into the goal-oriented challenge format, and personally creating consistently great challenge listings.

Second, you'll work with the development and sales and marketing teams to improve the platform with respect to creating challenges, marketing them, and improving the system overtime.  You'll also help with the Challenge Creator Lab and related contests and content.

Third, you'll need to do whatever needs to be done to help our challenge providers to be successful with respect to their challenge listings.  This means teaching them how to use the platform, answering questions, helping them configure their activities into great challenges, keeping in touch with them, monitoring their performance, and recommending improvements in our policies, software, and operations based upon what you see happening.

This is a remote and (currently) part-time position.  If our mission and the challenge appeals to you, by all means apply now!

One other thing.  Our objective is to keep DoCurious completely non-political.  You should be okay with that.

Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Great grammar, computer skills, and imagination
- Experience in sales, marketing, and/or customer support is highly desirable
- Smart team player who is also capable of independent thought and action
