Join our Somarae movement as our Back-End Developer. You’ll design and power the engine behind the app — the systems that make real-time healing and AI-guided support possible. If you love building tech that actually improves human lives, then Somarae is for you. 

We’re looking for a Back-End Developer who thrives in early-stage environments, loves solving complex problems, and wants to be part of building a product from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our founding team, AI engineers, and designers to architect and build the backbone of the Somarae app — ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration between front-end experiences and AI-driven features. You build scalable, fast, friction-free, stable back ends. Your back end dev skills are as solid as the environments you create. You're the best and we want the best! 

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in back-end development (startup or fast-paced environments a plus).
Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go (we are language-flexible but currently lean toward Node/Python).
Experience with RESTful APIs / GraphQL and real-time communication (WebSockets).
Proficiency with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and data security best practices.
Bonus: Experience with AI/ML integration or interest in learning.
Bonus: Familiarity with healthtech, wellness, or mental health apps.
