I'm Ciara Pickering, a multi-faceted designer and artist.  My skills and previous experience come from a wide variety of media and industries, but the greatest common factors are aesthetics and visual communication. As a graphic designer and illustrator, I have applied my skills to logo creation, album artwork, internet banner advertising, print advertising in over eight national publications, and promotional posters for a variety of events including visiting artist lectures, performances, and gallery exhibitions. As a motion graphic designer and video artist, I have worn a variety of hats!  I have designed and developed motion graphics for commercials for a variety of small to large businesses nationwide.  I've worked as a video editor both professionally and for personal enrichment, lending my skills to such endeavors as the 48-Hour Film Project as well as other film festivals from Knoxville to Seattle. Between and in addition to these roles, I’ve worked steadily in corporate and freelance media design and resource management, most recently as a graphic designer, motion graphics designer, and multi-media PR specialist for the City of Seattle.  I also enjoy using my creativity as a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist for film, stage, and photography.
