Who We Are
CineLogic manages a newly formed team of veteran action-film specialists, including award-winning writers, producers, directors, stuntmen, cinematographers, visual-effects artists and software engineers. Our list of over 350 feature film credits include some of the biggest budget and highest grossing movies of all time.
The Problem
Most people don’t know it but the big-budget action movies, the kind our team specialize in, shoot over 300 hours of wildly expensive footage to send into the editing room. When one discovers the latest Avengers movie cost $356M, it was not the two hours that cost that much, but rather it was the 300 hours that we didn’t see that cost that much. One can of course impose financial restraints on the director and his team, and that will lower costs, but it will also lower quality as shooting the 300 hours is how you actually achieve the quality. Herein lies the dilemma that’s been facing the industry for some time now. How do you allow creative and experimentation to flourish without going bankrupt in the process?
Our Solution
Today’s filmmakers don't know exactly what their movies are going to be until they finish making them. That's why you hear about characters or scenes being cut out, and why you hear about it taking months or years to film a movie that only runs a couple of hours. This is due to the fact that filmmakers are actually shooting a rather large amount of potential shots for the finished film. They design as they produce. Only when filming is completed do they spend another few months throwing away close to 98% of those shots in the process called editing. What they're left with is the movie you see in theaters and living rooms. CineLogic provides a new way to shoot those many possible scenes.
CineLogic is able to shoot far more possibilities because our system is so inexpensive to operate in. Then, just like all producers, we edit, the difference being that we do it in the simulator. What we're left with is an inexpensive animation or blueprint of the entire film; a timed, moving, template of each and every frame, cut and shot complete with sound and score of the finished film. Therefore, when we go out to film the live action actors, sets and stuntmen etc, we already know what the finished product is going to be, which allows us to shoot only the precise shots we already know are going to appear in the finished film. Thus we design and then produce. CineLogic’s innovation and IP requires less than eight hours of footage and yields a better product; the big budget look at up to an 80% discount.
We’ve used our proprietary system in major Hollywood movies and fortune 500 commercials where they’ve won top awards and have became the cornerstone of the movie's entire ad campaign. We've since used the technology over and over in all kinds of major media. This “CAD/CAM approach” to film-making triggered another, far more disruptive technology we call sharing. This is very detailed and opens the door for a model that scales out through movies and into TV, video games and out to the farthest corners of internet content production.
