Product Engineer Wanted — TailHand Evolution Machine
TailHand is real. We’ve manufactured, shipped, and installed our first production run. The next step is refining, scaling, and evolving this product into an ecosystem — a workstation that's much more than an innovative workbench solution for tailgates. We're redefining how mobile work gets done.
I’m the founder of TailHand and I’m looking for a Product Engineer who can create, produce, and envision.
You:
• Hold a BS or BA in Mechanical Engineering (non-negotiable)
• Have at least 5 years of experience designing manufactured metal-fabricated products
• Have worked as a manufacturing liaison and know how to bridge CAD with the factory floor
• Ideally, you’ve touched vehicle aftermarket products — but if not, you can learn it fast
• Own and maintain an active CAD software subscription (renewed and current), ideally, as Solid Works.
• Think in terms of design for manufacturability, scalability, and margin
• Can move from napkin sketch → CAD → STEP file → prototype → production-ready
• Thrive in chaos, adapt under constraints, and communicate clearly
• Are a proactive communicator who keeps projects moving without waiting to be asked
• Know that innovation means risk — and you’re willing to take calculated ones
• Applicable manufacturer relationships are a plus.
This isn’t about tinkering. This is about evolving TailHand into a version 2.0 powerhouse with accessories, modular add-ons, and scalable designs that open up whole new applications.
If the idea of engineering an award-winning product from its first phase into a market-dominating ecosystem revs you up — Apply Now.
Equity Offered: 1% (upon successful achievement through Phase 5)
